INCORPORATE IN B.C.

Incorporating in the province of British Columbia (B.C.) can done by a lawyer or by yourself online. Corporations will automatically be assigned a provincial Incorporation number as well as a federal Business Number (BN) for corporate income tax purposes.

step 1 | Pick a business name

The first step is to submit a name request for your corporation to ensure the name you desire is available to register. The total cost for a name request is $31.50 CAD.

Note: If you do not care for the name, you may skip Step 1 and save the cost of the name request and go directly to incorporate in Step 2 as the system will auto generate and issue you a numbered company for the name (example 0123456 B.C. Ltd ).

step 2 | Incorporate

Incorporating in B.C. is done through Corporate Online and costs a one time fee of $350 CAD online.

Note: An annual upkeep fee of $43.39 CAD for filing the Annual Report on the anniversary date of incorporation is required for as long as the corporation is active.
